1. Indian e-Visa for Taiwanese citizens
Currently, all international visitors to India (excluding diplomats and holders of special travel papers) must apply for and get an e-Visa before entering the country.
Taiwanese citizens can apply for various sorts of Indian e-Visas based on the nature of their anticipated visit to the country.
Taiwanese visitors can apply for an Indian e-Tourist visa to engage in tourist activities in India, attend spiritual retreats, and visit friends and family who live in the country.
The Indian government also provides e-Visas to Taiwanese nationals visiting the country for business or for medical treatment.

- Indian e-Business Visa: This is a multiple-entry visa with a one-year validity period and a stay of up to 180 days. To get this visa, the Taiwanese applicants are required to obtain a Business card, an Invitation letter from the host, and an ID card/Passport of the host
- Indian e-Conference Visa: This visa is used for any conference organized by the ministry, such as conferences or seminars. This type of visa allows you to stay in India for up to 30 days with only one entrance.
- Indian e-Medical Visa: This visa is available only to Taiwanese nationals seeking medical treatment in India. They must provide legal evidence establishing the reason for their journey, such as a letter from an Indian hospital. This visa allows three times of entry and is valid for 04 months from the issued date. Taiwanese nationals wishing to accompany an e-Medical visa holder to India for treatment may apply for an Indian e-Medical Attendant visa. This travel permission is valid for the same term as the e-medical visa holder and can be granted to up to two family members.

Travelers from Taiwan will require a working email account, valid debit/credit card details, and an active passport to begin applying for the Indian e-Tourist visa.
Furthermore, Taiwanese candidates must be aware of the following eligibility requirements, which will affect whether or not an e-Tourist visa application is approved:
- Applicants have a passport that is valid for 6 months after they arrive in India.
- Applicants must have at least two empty pages in their passports for entry/exit stamps.

3. Application Procedure for an Indian e-Visa from Taiwan
If an applicant meets all of the requirements for an Indian e-Tourist visa, he or she can begin the application process by visiting the Indian Immigration Services website.
